New Living seeks to have a triple bottom line, having a direct economic, social, and environmental impact on our community with a focus on providing better indoor quality for everyone.

How we choose our products

New Living has an extensive product selection process. “Green” has many definitions and we know that more and more people are becoming conscious consumers and shopping with their values. We do not judge our customers, but we do judge our suppliers. We only work with companies that are transparent about their social, environmental, and economic impact.

It can be very hard for consumers to sort through all of the information coming out of the “green rush” and we attempt to do a lot of that sorting for the everyday consumer and present information in an easily accessible format.

To do this, we partnered with a non-profit organization called Build Clean to create a vendor survey that all companies must complete to enter into our approval process. The survey is comprised of questions about their environmental and labor standards, potential health benefits to their products, and the ethics of the company itself.

We verify and present that information in a clear, accessible way so that customers can take it into account when making their decisions.

B Corporation Certification
Certified B Corporations are a new type of corporation which uses the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. At New Living, we have made a commitment to measuring our business not only by its financial success, but by our positive impact on the community and the environment.
