We recently worked with our friends at Smart Meals on the buildout of their flagship Shepherd Location, which just opened this month. From J.R. Cohen; Director Retail Operations – “Smart Meals chose to source and install all of our finish materials from New Living in order to ensure the healthiest possible indoor environment for our customers and workers. We were especially happy to know the pricing was the same as any other environmentally unfriendly” product. Smart Meals seeks to align itself with other local businesses committed to a social, environmental and economic bottom line.”
The Smart Meals welcome area featuring non-toxic NOVOC paint, sustainably harvested wood, recycled glass countertops, and locally made Texstone.
Smart Meals has truly supported locally with their choice to use Texstone, a recycled content countertop which is not only made from materials found within the 610 loop, but is also produced entirely within the 610 loop.
We made these tables for all their seating areas with Decopoz, a concrete resurfacing product made from recycled content and all non-toxic coatings. This is our most efficient countertop option, which allowed Smart Meals to use all healthy building materials under budget.
Smart Meals’ conference and meeting space, featuring no added urea formaldyhyde cork flooring with non-toxic adhesives, and all-natural American Clay wall plaster. American Clay is great for healthy indoor air quality.
